My Strengths

Although the time to take the assessment, I feel the assessment was very accurate. I found that all of the themes I was given as my top 5 for me very well. I would say I have many attributes and qualities about me that fit me very well. Although it didn't list all the themes, of the 5 themes, I was very impressed.

I was given, in ranking order, responsibility, learner, achiever, focus, and belief as the fifth. What surprised me the most was the achiever theme. I didn't think of myself as an achiever at all. When I think of an achiever at least, I don't imagine myself belonging to that category. After reading the details of it though, it gave me some clarity regarding it. From that it says, "no matter how much you may feel you deserve a day of rest, if the day passes without some form of achievement, no matter how small, you will feel dissatisfied." Further along it continues, "it is the jolt you can always count on to get you started on new tasks, new challenges. It is the power supply that causes you to set the pace and define the levels of productivity..."

I read this and figured that my desire to get things done, really does drive me to do things with my life. I find this particularly true in regards to me returning home from my mission. I went from knowing exactly what I'd do every day, and I felt successful every day. As I came home, I lost the planning and therefore that sense of achievement. I felt the entire summer not very productive. I longed to go to school to actually be doing something I know would be productive. That is how I find this theme particularly true, especially being so high in my top 5.
